Thomas Massebeau, Jr.,   CEO
Tom is CEO of Compass Financial Management Group.  He has specialized in the retirement market since 1990.  His experience and knowledge enable him to be a complete resource in providing valuable added experience and solutions for our clients. In his free time, Tom can be found at sporting events watching his seven grandchildren or pulling them behind a boat on a tube.  He is also very involved in prison ministry.
Tara Sanders #,   President
Tara is a Certified Financial Planner (TM) licensee and joined Compass Financial in 2003. She has been in the financial services industry since 1994 where she began her career at Merrill Lynch. Her role includes all areas of financial planning, asset management, including third party money managers, and on-going performance monitoring. In her free time, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and is involved in her church.
Bruce Boyle   Senior Vice President
Bruce has been with Compass Financial since 1996. His primary focus is providing predictable retirement income for clients. He also specializes in asset preservation, including life and long term care insurance that may be utilized to accomplish the overall financial goals of our clients. Bruce enjoys spending time with his family, sporting clay shooting, and all things outdoors.


Scot Daku    Vice President
Scot has been with Compass Financial since 2004. Prior to that, he specialized in real estate and resort development. Scot's true relationship approach allows him to communicate complicated retirement planning concepts in a simple, understandable way. In his free time, Scot enjoys family and friends and all types of sports. He also enjoys golfing with clients on occasion.
Ralph Gossman   Vice President
Ralph has worked in the financial services industry for over 35 years. He joined Compass Financial in 2012 after retiring from the banking industry in December of 2011. Ralph's primary areas of focus are fixed and predictable lifetime income, legacy planning and financial asset protection. In his spare time, Ralph may be found at the YMCA or officiating high school basketball games. He also enjoys volunteering as Treasurer of his church and is involved with missions.
Dan Black    Vice President
Dan joined the Compass Financial team in 2012 and is primarily working with clients throughout the Georgia area. His background is in retail sales having worked for Publix Markets for 32 years, the last 15 years of his career being a Store Manager. He fully embraces the motto of Compass Financial as he helps clients develop a "Clear Financial Direction" for their future. In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and serving as President of the Corvette Cruisers of Atlanta, Georgia.
John Cecere   Vice President
John joined Compass Financial in 2015 after retiring from Publix in 2014. His career at Publix spanned 40 years, 35 of which were in management. He worked in over 19 locations in the South Florida area. His desire to help other Publix associates develop a plan for retirement is what brought him to join our team. In John's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and exercising.
Greg Money    Authorized Agent
Greg has been in the financial services industry since 1993 and joined Compass Financial in 2014. His primary focus is on providing retirement planning solutions for seniors. He also specializes in asset and estate preservation for our clientele. Greg travels between his two homes in Virginia and Florida and services clients up the east coast of the country. In his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and activities at his church.

Lauren Tanksley #    Vice President
Lauren has worked in the financial services industry for 15 years and joined Compass Financial in 2017. Most of her experience lies in the areas of financial planning, investment management and life insurance. She diligently seeks to provide her clients the educational resources and tools necessary to guide them through the financial planning process and beyond. She and her husband, James, live in Atlanta, Georgia with their three children. Her passions besides financial planning include cooking, volleyball, being outdoors, and volunteering in ministries involving families affected by divorce and addiction.


Jim Herring    Vice President
Jim joined the team in 2018 after a 41 year career at Publix.  Jim spent the last 16 years of his career as Regional Director.  His love and passion for Publix people is what brought him to Compass Financial.  Jim believes that being able to help Publix associates find financial independence after Publix completes their career.  Jim spends his off time working as a community advocate for many charitable causes in the Tampa Bay area.  When not working, Jim spends all his time with his wife Michell and their two daughters Gracen and Gillian.


Laura Allison    Registered Agent
Laura began her career in the financial services industry teaching educational workshops on finances and retirement to women. She personally knows the importance for all women to have a solid understanding of their financial wellness. Laura joined Compass Financial in 2020. Her passion for empowering clients to make smart decisions for their financial future has been a guiding principle of her practice for the past decade. Laura loves exercising, baking, and trips to the beach, but mostly, spending time with her children and two granddaughters. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
Steven Lovell    Registered Agent
Steven has been in the financial services industry for over 18 years and joined Compass Financial in 2020. He believes that all clients should be treated as if they are family. His goal is to protect their overall financial wellness in a safe and secure manner and he often utilizes life insurance and long term care planning to ensure their legacy. Steven lives in Evans, Georgia with his wife and five children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.
Lorrie Stohler
Lorrie joined Compass Financial in 2016 but her previous experience was in the retail industry with over 9 years in various positions with Publix. Lorrie is a registered Sales Associate and holds the Series 7 (General Securities Representative) securities license. Her role includes both servicing existing clients as well as prospective clients. In her free time, Lorrie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and volunteer work at the local Humane Society.
Jules Hubbard
Jules started with Compass Financial in 2015 and serves as the Office Manager. She is responsible for opening new accounts and the administrative oversight of our client's retirement transition process.
After hours, she works as a part time Publix associate. Jules also enjoys going to theme parks and spending time with her three children.
Juli Heien
Juli has been with Compass Financial since 2011. She is solely responsible for all IT related issues in the office and all the marketing.
She is also actively involved in account servicing and general client support. Juli enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
245 Ann Miller
Ann served as our office manager for thirteen years until February
2018 when she transitioned to our part time bookkeeper. Semi-retirement has allowed her more time to pursue her passion - quilting.
